Carbon Intelligence supports clients to achieve impressive CDP results in 2022

By Grace Melville
15th December 2022

A record breaking 18,700 companies responded to CDP in 2022.

Who is CDP?

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. The world’s economy looks to CDP as the gold standard of environmental reporting with the richest and most comprehensive dataset on corporate and city action.

In 2022, Over 680 investors with over US$130 trillion in assets requested companies disclose through CDP on climate change, water security and forests and 280+ major buyers, with a combined purchasing power of US$6.4 trillion asked their suppliers to disclose through CDP.

How did our clients perform?

CDP regularly raises the bar for what qualifies as environmental leadership. In 2022, this included new or more stringent scoring on, amongst other criteria, 1.5°C aligned climate transition planning, verification of deforestation and/or conversion-free commodity volumes, and verification of water data.

Despite significant changes made to the questionnaire, our clients have continued to demonstrate their commitment to transitioning to a zero carbon future.

  • 100% of our clients achieved an A or B score
  •  91% of our clients have achieved the same or increased their score in their 2022 disclosure, with 50% of our clients now having scores in the Leadership band (A- or A)

Congratulations to our clients and our brilliant reporting team for these impressive results.
